The Cupra Ateca has already been modified by ABT, and we will learn the results at the Essen Motor Show.
Cupra and ABT have joined forces, a combination that has resulted in an Ateca with significant modifications, which will be unveiled on 1 December.

When we think about the modifications applied to the models of the Volkswagen Group, we cannot help but remember ABT, a tuner determined to squeeze out the hidden potential of the most radical creations of the brands that make up the German-origin group. One of the latest members to join this large family has been Cupra, a new brand born under the protection of SEAT to manufacture, design and develop sporty products. Following the news of this new company’s birth, ABT began rubbing its hands together, and it seems the tuner has already worked on the first Cupra model, the Ateca.
This SUV with a clear sporting spirit has set the standards that Cupra will follow, a brand that aims not only to offer a broad range of cars more radical than those found at SEAT, but also models of its own development. However, we will still have to wait a while to meet those future vehicles, but ABT could not contain its impatience and has already decided to take a step with the Spanish brand.

For now, the German tuner has confirmed that the Cupra Ateca ABT will become a reality, but has chosen to keep a dense aura of mystery over the aesthetic and mechanical modifications it will feature. However, ABT has let us know when we can see the energised SUV for the first time, the Essen Motor Show being the event chosen for that presentation.
In this way, we can be sure that ABT will continue modifying SEAT’s sporty products, which will now be exclusively overseen by Cupra. Without a doubt, the Spanish brand has known how to give one of its most successful SUVs a striking and imposing personality, which it acquires from its new, far more radical tuning.
Let us recall that under the skin of the Cupra Ateca lies a 2.0 TSI engine capable of producing 300 CV of power and 400 Nm of torque. Given that this is not the first time ABT has modified this engine, we can expect new performance figures capable of reaching 400 CV and 500 Nm of torque, figures that we already saw in the Volkswagen Golf R.

Without a doubt, ABT is ready to unveil this new creation to the world, which will serve to preview future modifications that will arise with the new models born from the hand of Cupra. The Essen Motor Show will open its doors on 1 December, allowing visitors not only to see the Cupra Ateca prepared by ABT, but also a wide selection of vehicles that have also passed through the tuner’s hands.
