The Dongfeng MAGE PHEV debuts in Spain and you can already reserve it

The Dongfeng brand is already well established in Spain and has just announced the launch of two new models. The Dongfeng VIGO is a battery electric SUV, but it does not come alone, as it is joined by the Dongfeng MAGE PHEV, which also features SUV bodywork, although in this case it is a plug-in hybrid vehicle.

The Dongfeng MAGE PHEV is an SUV with a plug-in hybrid powertrain made up of a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol combustion engine. This delivers 150 CV and is paired with an electric motor adding 88 kW, that is, 120 CV. The set is completed by a battery with a capacity of 17 kWh. Overall, the plug-in hybrid system has a combined output of 220 kW, that is, 299 CV.

Using the electric motor, the Dongfeng MAGE PHEV can travel up to 89 kilometres in electric mode. This allows it to carry the CERO environmental label from the DGT and benefit from the advantages offered to vehicles bearing this label. With the battery fully charged and the petrol tank full, the range is 1,200 kilometres.

The homologated consumption is 1.4 litres per 100 kilometres. If only the combustion engine is used, petrol consumption is 5.3 litres per 100 kilometres. As for the battery, it can be charged via a fast charger and go from 30% to 80% in 31 minutes.

The equipment with which the Dongfeng MAGE PHEV has been presented includes a panoramic roof, electric tailgate, and faux leather upholstery. The front seats are heated with electric adjustment, memory to recall the driver’s preferences, keyless access and a 540º camera.

Another of its features is the cabin. It seats five occupants and offers a generous boot capacity of 525 litres. This capacity can be expanded to 1,876 litres with the rear seats folded down. With this space it can be used both for everyday life and for leisure or business trips.

The Dongfeng SAGE PHEV starts in Spain at a price of 31,990 euros. With the company’s financing, there is a monthly instalment of 190 euros, with a deposit of 9,157 euros and a final payment of 16,287.5 euros. In addition, it comes with a seven-year or 300,000-kilometre warranty for the whole vehicle, and ten years for the electrified powertrain, including the battery and electric motor.
