The DS 4 catches the eye with its design, an elegant blend between SUV and saloon

The body style that is taking the automotive world by storm is, without a doubt, the SUV. But it is not enough for a vehicle to be capable of leaving the road with elegance; users are also looking for other things. So DS, the aspirational brand of Stellantis, has wanted to offer a mix of an SUV and a saloon with style. The result has been the DS 4, an SUV with the style expected of the brand.

To create this model, DS drew on the experience gained by the DS Performance team in the FIA Formula E Championship. From this, they obtained the technological innovations used to equip this model with everything that makes it stand out in its segment.

Elegant exterior, efficient interior

The figures for the model speak for themselves. This is a vehicle with a length of 4.40 metres, a width of 1.83 metres and a height of 1.47 metres. This ensures a compact size while still offering a pleasant and comfortable interior space for all occupants.

The DS 4 is easy to identify thanks to its light signature at the front. The headlights have a sharp, highly recognisable shape and use DS Matrix LED technology. The daytime running lights, also LED, form two vertical lines at each end of the grille, helping it to be instantly recognisable, whether by day or by night.

At the rear there is a rather striking design, thanks to the roofline, which slopes down considerably until it reaches a rear window with a steep angle of inclination. A screen-printed “Reflective Design” lettering adds the elegant touch of the model. The light clusters feature a laser-engraved scale effect, and the dynamic indicators make them even more clearly visible.

In the cabin we find almost artisanal elements, which provide pleasant ergonomics. Technology takes centre stage in the interior design. The interface between the occupants and the car has been made simpler and more agile to be more efficient. To control the various elements, the DS Iris System has been designed.

This features ChatGPT integrated with the voice recognition system, so it can answer questions related to the journey, such as the location of service stations and other practical matters. To improve comfort on board, the seats have been designed with a shell-like concept in mind, welcoming and ergonomic. The seats also feature ventilation and a massage function to make every journey as comfortable as possible.
