The Renault Megane E-Tech is updated with the new esprit Alpine trim and adds new features
The Renault Megane E-Tech sees its range enriched with the arrival of the esprit Alpine trim, along with two important technological updates

After a very discreet update in 2022, the Renault now introduces more significant updates for one of its fully electric models, the Megane E-Tech. In this way, its range is now boosted by the arrival of the “esprit Alpine” trim, as well as technological advances that we will see later and, most importantly, all of this is already available to order in the Spanish market.
One of the updates for the Renault Megane E-Tech is the esprit Alpine trim, already known from other models in the brand, which reinforces the sporty and dynamic image of each model and also incorporates exclusive design elements such as the Satin Slate Grey colour for certain details. It sits as the highest trim in the range, above the Techno, and includes as standard equipment items such as the following:
- 20-inch esprit Alpine alloy wheels
- Front and rear bumpers with F1 stripe in satin slate grey
- Electrically folding, heated and memory power-adjustable exterior mirrors
- Leather-effect steering wheel
- Heated front seats with longitudinal, tilt and height adjustment, memory lumbar support and massage
- Black recycled fabric upholstery with blue stitching and velour details
- Recycled fabric dashboard
- Driver fatigue detection
- Blind spot detection and lane departure prevention during overtaking
- Safe distance warning
- Assisted emergency braking with pedestrian, cyclist and junction detection
- Emergency brake assist
- ESC dynamic stability control with hill start assist
- Lane departure warning and lane keeping assist
- Tyre pressure monitoring
- Adaptive full LED headlights
- Full LED rear lights with 3D effect
- Intelligent adaptive cruise control
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Digital rear view camera
- Overspeed warning with traffic sign recognition
- Rain and light sensor
- Dual-zone automatic climate control
- 12-inch digital instrument cluster
- 12-inch openR Link infotainment system
- Arkamys Auditorium audio system with 6 speakers
- 2 front USB and 2 rear USB Type-C ports
- Wireless phone charging pad
- Heat pump
- Battery temperature optimisation system during DC charging
- Mode 3 charging cable
- Integrated 11 kWh AC charger

Regarding technological advances, the Renault Megane E-Tech now features the One Pedal function for versions equipped with regenerative braking via steering wheel paddles, which allows control of both acceleration and braking using only the right pedal. This reduces the use of brake pads, improves range and provides smoother, less demanding driving, especially in cities. This function will also arrive in the coming months on the Renault 5 and the Scenic E-Tech, while the Renault 4 already has it from launch.

The other technological update for the Renault Megane E-Tech is that all versions now come standard with the new 11 kW bidirectional charger for AC charging, and a 22 kW charger can optionally be fitted. This charger, combined with the optional V2L adapter, can supply power equivalent to a 220 V socket, so the energy stored in the car’s battery can be used to power other electrical devices.

Remember that the Renault Megane E-Tech is offered in both the Techno and esprit Alpine trims with a single powertrain, consisting of an electric motor producing 220 CV combined with the Confort battery of 60 kWh capacity, with which it achieves a maximum range of up to 468 km on the WLTP combined cycle.
Excluding aid and discounts, the Renault Megane E-Tech starts in Spain at 39,500 euros for the Techno trim and from 42,500 euros for the esprit Alpine trim.
