The E-Hybrid version of the Jeep Avenger is now available in Europe

Jeep announces the arrival of the long-awaited Jeep Avenger e-Hybrid, which will be available for orders from the end of November 2023. Since the successful launch of the Avenger, named European Car of the Year 2023, Jeep has decided to also introduce the advanced MHEV 4xe engine technology into the Avenger e-Hybrid, which we first saw in 2020 on models such as the Compass, the Renegade, the Wrangler and the new Grand Cherokee.

Then, in 2023, came the first fully electric Avenger with a 156 CV motor, delivering 256 Nm of torque. The battery is placed in the floor of the vehicle and has a capacity of 54 kWh, a lithium-ion battery that allows the Jeep to achieve 392 kilometres of range on the WLTP cycle.

New Avenger with E-Hybrid technology

The latest version of the Avenger features an electrical system that improves efficiency and driving experience by allowing operation in fully electric mode in specific situations, such as urban driving at speeds below 30 km/h. This mode provides up to 1 km of electric range in urban and extra-urban areas, promoting fuel savings when driving steadily or in stabilised downhill conditions, including on the motorway. In addition, the vehicle has a 44-litre fuel tank for greater range.

The key to its performance lies in the harmonious synergy between the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder combustion engine, capable of delivering up to 100 CV (74 kW), a 21 kW electric motor delivering 55 Nm of torque with belt-driven starter-generator support, a 48-volt lithium-ion battery and the innovative 6-speed electric dual-clutch gearbox. This gearbox houses a 21 kW electric motor, an inverter and the central transmission unit, which work together to optimise compact size and efficiency and achieve an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in just 11 seconds. All of this has been designed to achieve a reduction in CO2 emissions which, in this model, range between 111 and 114 grams per kilometre, which positions it favourably within its category.

All the technology you can imagine

The Avenger e-Hybrid features additional electrical power for a silent start and smooth transitions. Features such as e-creeping and 100% electric parking stand out. It offers luxurious enhancements such as the panoramic roof and the electric driver’s seat with massage function and leather upholstery.

In terms of design, it has a distinctive exterior, dedicated badge and options for a 7 or 10.25-inch e-Hybrid instrument panel, a Open-Air Sky Roof, and the introduction of the electric driver’s seat with massage function and leather upholstery. It offers steering-wheel paddle shifters and a 6-speed DCT transmission for greater control.

It also includes two connected packages, Connect ONE and Connect PLUS. These provide assistance, wireless map updates, weather information, the location of service stations and fuel prices, as well as available parking spaces in the city.

Choose the trim you like best

The e-Hybrid range marks a notable transformation within the Jeep Avenger range, revealing distinctive features tailored to each trim level.

• The Longitude features 16-inch alloy wheels, Full LED headlights with a reflector design, and body-coloured door handles with grey lower body cladding. Inside, there is a black dashboard and cloth seats, a fully digital 7″ instrument cluster, cruise control and a front armrest. Features such as autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, lane keeping assist and driver attention assist are also included.
• The Altitude improves the exterior with 17-inch alloy wheels and silver lower body cladding. Inside, it adds a touch of elegance with premium cloth/vinyl seats, a height-adjustable load floor and a silver dashboard with interior inserts, complemented by a synthetic leather steering wheel. Additional features include the full 10.25″ digital instrument cluster, single-zone automatic climate control and adaptive cruise control.
• Finally, the Summit has 18-inch alloy wheels, full LED front projector and rear lights, and privacy glass. Inside it offers a “frameless” electrochromic rear-view mirror. It includes keyless entry and engine start, wireless charging, blind-spot monitoring, a 180° rear camera with a “bird’s-eye view”, 360° parking sensors, automatic high-beam control, folding electric mirrors, a hands-free tailgate and Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities.

The colour palette offers a wide range of options, from vibrant shades such as Snow, Volcano and Ruby, to dazzling metallics such as Stone, Sun, Lake and Granite.
