Every now and then we come across a curious piece of news worth discussing, involving some jump or acrobatic manoeuvre by a car.

What is less common is for that manoeuvre to be performed by a truck, and even rarer for it to involve none other than a Formula 1 car.

But since nothing can ever be categorically denied, here is the proof that everything – or practically everything – is possible in the world of motoring. In the video we’ve attached, we show you what a truck is capable of doing with the right resources and the appropriate preliminary studies.

To set the scene, this video was made – as is almost always the case – for advertising purposes. Even so, they have also managed to break none other than the Guinness World Record for truck jumping, with a spectacularly visual result, in which an F1 car involved is able to pass sideways through the truck while it is in the air. It is, without a doubt, a spectacle for the eyes.

The moment of the truck’s “landing“, the official vehicle of the Lotus F1 Team, trailer included, is particularly striking. The impact is so abrupt and violent that some parts of the truck’s cab break off and fly through the air, the result of a very big jump combined with a weight that is clearly excessive to withstand such a jolt.
Although the video barely lasts half a minute, we are sure that more than one person will watch it two, three or more times. Without further ado, here is the video, along with some screenshots from it.
