The Fiat 500 has already reached 500,000 units produced

A white Fiat 500, equipped with the 1.2 engine producing 69 CV, was the lucky 500,000th unit of the new generation, which rolled off the production line at the Tychy plant in Poland last week.

For the first half million units, the 500’s main markets have been, by number of units: Italy (244,755), France (58,425), Great Britain (51,445), Germany (48,319), the Netherlands (13,682), Switzerland (10,765), Spain (10,103), Belgium (9,548), Japan (9,030) and Austria with 8,648 units.

The meaning of these figures is of great importance to Fiat, but it is also important for the history of the 500, dating back to its origins many years ago. In the new generation, a host of special versions made by tuners and enthusiasts are also being added, in addition to the electric variant already mentioned.

The 500 is not just another car; it has already transcended production figures and the brand itself, reaching the same level as (or nearly) the Beetle or the Citroën 2 CV. And as if that weren’t enough, it is now gearing up to attack the North American market, which has always been elusive to “weak and small European cars”. Congratulations on 500,000 units, Fiat 500!
