The Fiat 500 Stop&Start arrives

Fiat will launch the Stop&Start system across the Fiat 500 range in the coming weeks. The system switches off the engine at certain stops (such as traffic lights, traffic jams, etc.) and restarts it when the clutch is pressed, helping to reduce the vehicle’s fuel consumption.
The Fiat 500 with the Stop&Start system will be paired with the 1.2i 8v 69 cv engine, with a five-speed manual or Dualogic automatic gearbox. Thanks to the system, fuel savings of 12% are achieved, and emissions drop from 119 g/CO2 to 110 g/CO2.
The new system will cost 300 euros. In addition, the 500, Grande Punto and Bravo range with Blue&Me system will be able to enjoy the EcoDrive programme in Spanish, which allows internet-based monitoring of the car’s consumption and driving efficiency.
