The FIAT Panda is about to become one of the electrified models the brand will present for its next stage, with a very attractive design.

Fiat Panda 2024

The FIAT Panda is one of the most popular city cars in Europe, so a new fully electric version is being prepared, which could arrive in 2024. This iconic model, which is still on sale, will become electric and will seek to repeat its success for a few more years, within the new electric mobility that is here to stay.

The estimated arrival date is autumn 2024, and the new FIAT Panda will be presented as a segment B vehicle. Its length will be slightly over four metres, and its codename has been FH1. This model is part of Stellantis’ Smart Car strategy, which envisions vehicles for the global market.

The new FIAT Panda will be based on the PSA CMA platform and, according to several Italian specialist sources, it could take the same direction as the FIAT 600 and adopt an appearance close to SUVs. It is expected to look quite similar to the Citroën C3, with a more modern design and taking the Lingotto building as a reference.

The Lingotto is FIAT’s original factory. Besides that, it is very famous because its roof houses a test track for the brand. This oval shape is what FIAT will use for the new models arriving from 2024 onwards. As for the interior, the new FIAT 500 has already shown several conceptual illustrations, featuring a cylindrical digital screen integrated into the steering wheel, which gives it a very futuristic touch.

The central screen is of considerable size and has a horizontal layout. We can learn little more about this model for now, although we hope that when the new FIAT 600 is presented on 4 July, its look and equipment will give us a preview of what to expect.

The person responsible for the design of the Panda is François Leboine, also the designer of the upcoming Renault 5 electric, so he is already accustomed to creating this type of urban vehicle that will arrive shortly.
