The Fiat Uno will arrive on the European market

We echo a news story published by Autocar about the low-cost model that Fiat has launched for the Latin American market, the Fiat Uno, which would reach the European market by the end of 2011. A completely logical move, also it will be manufactured in Zastava (Serbia), where Fiat has a plant.
The Fiat Uno has an original look, and would complete the Fiat range in the place currently occupied by the Punto Classic, that is, between the Panda and the Punto EVO. It is also expected to go on sale with a price typical of a low-cost model (a segment that is gaining many followers) within the B segment.

For this development Fiat will invest close to 150 million euros, and the Fiat Uno will reach Europe earlier than expected, since the Fiat business plan foresaw this compact arriving on the European market in 2012. Its possible arrival in the American market also remains up in the air.
