The Ford Kuga is renewed for 2024 with five trim levels and engines ranging from 150 to 243 CV
Ford kicks off the year strongly with a facelift of one of its best-sellers, the Kuga, a model now presented with hybrid and fully electrified powertrains

Ford, one of the biggest leaders in innovation, has today unveiled the fully redesigned Kuga. This SUV has managed to position itself at the very top of sales charts, even becoming the best-selling plug-in hybrid in Europe. The facelift of this best-seller comes with a striking design, new technology features and even electrified powertrains.
Ford aims to have a fully electric vehicle range in Europe by 2035 and, the launch of the renewed Kuga, with improved plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and full hybrid (FHEV) options, is yet another example and a step forward in that transition to full electrification.

The trim range, which includes the Titanium, the ST-Line and ST Line X, is expanded with the addition of the Kuga Active, which features a more prominent front grille, Active badges on the seats and floor mats, and exclusive alloy wheel designs, as well as the Active X.
Available engines
The new Kuga offers a wide range of engine options to suit the preferences and needs of every driver. Among them, the standout is the 1.5-litre EcoBoost FWD engine, available with a 6-speed manual gearbox, delivering 150 CV of power and efficient performance with fuel consumption figures of 6.3-7.2 l/100 km.

For those seeking a more sustainable approach, the 2.5-litre petrol full hybrid FWD model offers 180 CV of power and an impressive fuel consumption of 5.3-6.2 l/100 km. For those who want additional traction, the AWD full hybrid model (all-wheel drive) offers similar performance with intelligent all-wheel drive of Ford. As the final and most powerful option, the Kuga Plug-in Hybrid FWD (front-wheel drive) is presented with a 2.5-litre engine, delivering a total output of 243 CV (179 kW) and a fully electric driving range of 60-69 km thanks to its 14.4 kWh battery.
Its weights range from 1526 kg in the 150 CV version up to 1859 kg in the 243 CV hybrid version.
Up to five trim levels to choose from
In the new Active trim we find a redesigned front grille that stands out for its vertical bars and gloss black finish, accompanied by a redesigned and distinctive lower grille, a characteristic front end and a protective plate. Active badges can be seen on the front wing and on the silver door mouldings. The Active trim comes with 18 and 19-inch alloy wheels and the Active X offers additional options such as mirror caps, a black-finished roof or Sensico and neo-ante upholstery on the comfort seats, adjustable in 18 directions.

The Active trim is further distinguished inside: the Active logo is present on the exclusive seat and floor mat upholstery, and a Dark Wood finish with a matt effect on the dashboard and door trims. These variants feature the Trail Drive function, which modifies traction control and throttle response, along with a notable improvement from raising the driving position by 10 mm.
In the Titanium trim we find a slightly more sophisticated style, for those who want to give the Kuga a touch of luxury. It features a distinctive front grille with vertical bars and horizontal bars running across the grille. Another distinctive detail in this trim are the fine vertical edges seen on the fog lights and a chrome bar located just below that matches the decorative frame of the windows.

The ST Line trim, however, is the sportiest. It has an exclusive front bumper design with a “shark mouth” grille and a lower spoiler. The front and rear lower bumpers, side skirts and inner diffuser have colours distinct from other versions. For those who want an extra touch, the ST-Line X trim adds chrome strips on the lower part of the bumper, red brake calipers and protectors with the ST-Line X badge.
The range of available colours has also been expanded with the introduction of the new Desert Island Blue and Bursting Green, joining the already available Agate Black, Solar Silver, Frozen White and Red Lucid.

One of the best technology updates
The new Kuga incorporates the SYNC 4 system from Ford, with twice the computing power of its predecessor, offering a state-of-the-art driving and entertainment experience. With a 13.2-inch landscape touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital TFT instrument cluster, every ADAS you can imagine, and a 360º camera, this model is positioned as one of the best technological innovations.

The SYNC 4 software enables over-the-air software updates for Ford, constantly improving the vehicle in the background or even at pre-programmed times. The FordPass app is also included, offering a range of connected services that allow the driver to stay connected and control various functions from anywhere, or even through voice commands and wireless connectivity to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It also stands out for its advanced lighting system and technological improvements: it comes with Full LED headlights as standard, featuring functions such as Automatic High Beam Control and Manoeuvre Light. Driver assistance technologies such as the improved Adaptive Cruise Control, Predictive Speed Assist which adjusts the vehicle’s speed on road curves, roundabouts and when entering or leaving motorways, or the Intersection Assist thanks to its new front camera, are some of the features that make this Ford model one of the safest to drive.
