The four premium electric SUVs with the best power-to-range ratio on the Spanish market

Objective ranking of premium electric SUVs with the best hp/WLTP km ratio currently on sale in Spain. Technical analysis of power, range, efficiency and price.

The premium electric SUV segment is going through its most competitive moment. The arrival of native 800-volt platforms, high energy density batteries and permanent magnet synchronous motors has redrawn the map of what a luxury electric car can offer. But the real question for the demanding buyer is no longer how much power it delivers, or how many kilometres it homologates: it is how well it balances both figures. That ratio — performance versus real-world range — today separates the leaders from the rest.

Methodology: how we measure the power-to-range relationship

To build this ranking we have cross-referenced four objective and verifiable variables: maximum power in CV, combined WLTP range, average homologated consumption (kWh/100 km) and usable battery capacity. The key indicator is the CV-per-kilometre-of-WLTP-range ratio, complemented by energy efficiency. A car with 500 CV and 600 km WLTP offers a ratio of 0.83 CV/km; another with 400 CV and 400 km, 1.0 CV/km. The lower the number, the better the balance between performance and range. Only models currently sold in Spain are considered.

Bmw Ix 2025 00007

1. BMW iX xDrive50 — from 105,000 €

Munich’s electric flagship remains a technical benchmark. Its 111.5 kWh gross battery (105.2 usable) and the dual synchronous motor architecture offer a combination that is hard to match: 523 CV and up to 633 km WLTP. The homologated consumption, around 19.4 kWh/100 km, is remarkable for a 2.5-tonne SUV. Worked aerodynamics (Cd 0.25), air suspension and fast charging at 195 kW complete a balanced package.

Power kW Power CV Top speed WLTP range Consumption Label Fuel
385 kW 523 CV 200 km/h 633 km 19.4 kWh/100 km Zero Electric

Mercedes Benz Amg Eqe Suv 2024 Front

2. Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV 350+ — from 88,000 €

Stuttgart bets on pure efficiency. The 350+ version sacrifices gross power to maximise range: a single 292 CV rear motor powered by a 90.6 kWh usable battery achieves 596 km WLTP with an average consumption close to 18.7 kWh/100 km, the best figure in its segment. The interior finish with optional Hyperscreen display and Airmatic suspension reinforce its profile as a quiet grand tourer.

Audi Q6 E Tron 1

3. Audi Q6 e-tron quattro — from 82,300 €

Built on the new 800 V PPE platform shared with Porsche, the Q6 e-tron quattro represents the generational leap of Audi. 387 CV, 625 km WLTP and ultra-fast charging at 270 kW that allows it to recover from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes. Its 94.9 kWh usable battery combined with decouplable front asynchronous motors raises efficiency to 17.5 kWh/100 km in the combined cycle, one of the lowest figures in the premium segment.

285 kW 387 CV 210 km/h 625 km 17.5 kWh/100 km Zero Electric

Porsche Macan

4. Porsche Macan 4 Electric — from 86,518 €

The sporty interpretation of the PPE platform. The Macan 4 Electric delivers 408 CV with all-wheel drive and provides 613 km WLTP supported by a 95 kWh usable battery. Its appeal: it combines 0–100 km/h acceleration in 5.2 s with an average consumption of 17.9 kWh/100 km. DC charging reaches 270 kW and the chassis with rear-axle steering confirms the Stuttgart DNA.
