Golf Volkswagen Sports Cars Eventos
The Golf GTI Clubsport will also be on display at the next Volkswagen Wörthersee event.
The annual Volkswagen Wörthersee event is the stage where many new developments on the brand’s GTI models and the art of tuning can be seen, and it is where the brand strives to surprise attendees with its proposals.

We have already seen the surprise that Volkswagen has in store for the next Wörthersee event with the presentation of the TT Clubsport Turbo, and the V-double brand brings us a new development related to this event. It is a version of the Golf GTI that outperforms it in power and sits somewhat below the Golf R. Its engine will deliver power between the 230 CV of the former and the 300 CV of the latter.
The model will arrive at the event for tuning enthusiasts and GTI fans in prototype form, although it is said that the steps to bring it to the production line have already been taken and it will soon be seen at dealerships. This arrival is expected to take place in 2016 and will possibly not be very different from what can be seen at Wörthersee.
What draws attention about the model, which can for now only be seen in design sketches, is the dynamic and aggressive look of its bodywork. This is backed up by the engine hidden beneath it. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder powerplant is the same as in the other GTI versions, but with certain revisions that allow it to reach 265 CV, and on exceptional occasions 290 CV.

That power continues to be sent to the front axle thanks to a six-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox, and the torque is managed by the XDS vectoring control. It will be a limited edition with few units for sale, which already suggests its price will not be exactly low.
Fans of the Volkswagen Golf GTI will be able to enjoy this special model at a price of around 34,000 euros, and we will bring you more information as the days pass and we get closer to the event.
