The GSRII safety regulation means that Dacia increases safety and equipment while maintaining its prices
The Romanian brand reinvents the driver experience with the implementation of GSRII and improvements in design and content across its entire range: Sander, Sander Stepway and Jogger

Since entering the market in 2008, the Romanian brand, Dacia, has dominated the private sales market, with the Sandero becoming the best-selling model in its category since 2017, with an impressive three million units sold across Europe. The adventurous version, the Sandero Stepway, has been especially popular, accounting for two-thirds of total Sandero sales.
On the other hand, the Jogger has conquered the C segment, excluding SUVs, surpassing 100,000 units sold and establishing itself as the leader in private sales in Europe, with its HYBRID 140 version standing out in particular, accounting for 25% of orders.

But Dacia’s innovation does not stop at the past; it looks to the future with the implementation of the GSR2 (Global Safety Regulation No. 2), a regulation that raises safety standards for vehicles in the European Union and has forced brands such as Dacia to subject their models to an equipment update. This update, which will come into force in July 2024, guarantees greater protection for all road users, from drivers to pedestrians and cyclists.
New safety features
This means a commitment to increasing safety, and the way to do it is by integrating new safety elements across its entire range of vehicles. From the Essential trim level, the Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Jogger models offer a range of equipment that includes:
- Accident data recorder (ADR)
- Anti-start alcohol interlock readiness
- Traffic sign recognition with overspeed warning
- Lane change alert
- Lane keeping assist
- Driver drowsiness monitoring system
- Rear parking assist
- Light and rain sensors
- Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS) (urban/peri-urban with detection of vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists and motorcycles)
- Emergency stop signal

The Sandero, Stepway and Jogger models feature a number of new additions, including two-tone Atara Flexwheel trim covers, new Randia alloy wheels, and exclusive colours such as Safari Beige for the Sandero Stepway. In addition, the Jogger HYBRID 140 now comes with a modern 7-inch digital instrument cluster, while both the Jogger and the Sandero Stepway Expression sport a new sticker featuring the Dacia Link emblem and the GPS coordinates of the famous Transfagarașan road.
Dacia also introduces new safety features across its entire range, such as the “My Safety” button, which allows certain driver assistance systems to be deactivated while driving and at every start-up. It also includes the Rescue Code, a QR code visible on the windscreen and rear window that, via a free app, provides rescue services with all the information needed to intervene quickly and efficiently in an emergency.
