Honda Concepts Salón de Shanghai SUV
The Honda Concept D will be presented at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show

Several models will be presented at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show, serving as the basis for new vehicles designed for China’s domestic market. This is one of the largest in the world and one of the few that continues to grow steadily, so the opportunity to enter it should not be missed. Honda will unveil a concept car that will eventually become a new high-end SUV for drivers in this country.
This is the Honda Concept D, which, according to the brand, will feature a large and comfortable cabin and high-end equipment to meet the expectations of Chinese buyers. The incorporation of advanced safety elements and other features that will give it the status of a Premium vehicle will be essential to make this new model the flagship of Honda in the Asian country.
We know this is not the final design, since it is a car intended to draw attention to the future model at the Shanghai show, but it already gives a preview of what we can expect. In principle, it has a robust and aggressive front end, with striking wheel arches. It is fitted with headlights featuring LED technology, both at the front and at the rear.

As for information about this car, they have been quite cautious. There is no information about the engine it will get, although one could assume that, at the very least, it will have a hybrid version. Nothing about power, type of powertrain or technical capabilities for the time being. As for the interior, although they have promised a significant connectivity equipment and advanced safety systems, we have no images either.
Even so, we can be confident that it will be a good car which, despite the possible interest it may generate in the international market, will not be available outside China for the time being. We already know this is a market to nurture and grow, and for that reason this future SUV will be manufactured by the Chinese subsidiaries GAC Honda and Dongfeng Honda.
