The Honda Jazz 2018 arrives with a sportier look and new engines

The new Honda Jazz will be available from next February.

The Honda Jazz 2018 is already here. The Japanese city car arrives with design changes, new engines and more technology. It will be available from next February.

The exterior changes to the Honda Jazz 2018 keep the design line of the brand’s latest Japanese styling, incorporating the brand’s classic grille and distinctive front headlights. The front bumper features sharp lines and more aggressive contours around the air intakes. At the rear, the grille sections, which are less deep, are joined by a glossy black trim above a lower trapezoidal section. In addition to the exterior changes, a new body colour is now available: Skyride Blue metallic.

In addition to the improvements to the exterior design and the new interior upholstery, the Jazz also features a new 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine with 130 CV (96 kW), an engine that is available in Europe for the first time. The new 1.5 i-VTEC comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox and is also available with the continuously variable transmission (CVT) automatic gearbox, which offers rapid yet smooth acceleration.

This new engine is offered in combination with the new Dynamic version, which, with a narrower front splitter below the now lower grille and a three-fin diffuser on the rear bumper – both finished with a bold red line – becomes the sportiest Jazz to date. The Dynamic version also includes LED headlights, side skirts, a spoiler on the tailgate and alloy wheels in the size 185/55 R16. Inside, the highlight is the exclusive upholstery, with the steering wheel and gear lever in leather, all accented by attractive orange stitching.

The remaining versions are equipped with the efficient 102 CV 1.3 i-VTEC petrol engine (75 kW), which offers a combined fuel consumption of 5.1 l/100 km with the manual gearbox and 4.7 l/100 km with the CVT gearbox (Trend version).

All versions of the Jazz 2018 feature the Honda Connect infotainment system with a 7-inch screen and a rear-view camera. From the Comfort version onwards, the car comes with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, including safety technologies such as lane departure warning, forward collision warning, traffic sign recognition and intelligent speed limiter.
