The Hyundai Mobion will not go into production, but it will showcase all of the brand's current and future technologies.

The South Korean manufacturer will carry a showcase of its entire technology on board the new concept car it will unveil at CES, and which it will equip in future models.

Starting on January 8, the CES event takes place in Las Vegas, where attendees can see everything that automotive technology has to offer, among other things. This year some brands will not be present at the event, but others are still presenting innovations and will be there so that we don’t lose sight of everything they can offer in their range to improve mobility.

Hyundai will be present and will do so in several ways. Not only will it show a concept vehicle that displays the technology the brand has at its disposal, but it will also do so so that we can learn about the different sustainable technologies that can be applied to areas other than the automotive sector.

Hyundai Mobion, the most technological concept

The main argument the South Korean manufacturer will put forward is the Hyundai Mobion, a concept car that will never reach production. However, its main function will be to showcase equipment based on the technology the brand currently has at its disposal.

Around 20 technological innovations will be present in the car, so you will be able to see what the brand’s cars will be like in a few years. Many of these technologies are already available so they can be used in the current models, although they will possibly not be ready until some time from now.

One of those systems that Hyundai is already prepared to use is the e-Corner. It allows the wheels to turn up to an angle of 90º. With this system, maneuverability increases and manoeuvres such as parking can be made much easier.

Another new feature is the update to the AC charging system, which will allow a charging power of up to 22 kW. Currently an 11 kW AC charging system is used. With this system it takes around 7.5 hours to achieve a full charge, so this update will halve that time.

Inside the cabin there are also new features, such as new screens with more functionality and very interesting features. All of this will be on show in this demonstration model, but the technology will gradually be incorporated into the brand’s future models within a very short time frame.
