The Hyundai Sonata is pushing forward and unveils its new, even more spectacular generation
Although Hyundai is still some way off from presenting the new Hyundai Sonata in New York, we have been able to see this video and the first images to get to know it better

Hyundai gives us no rest, and after the presentations we attended at the Geneva Motor Show we have been able to see the eighth generation of the Hyundai Sonata. A new generation that will arrive in early 2020 and will update this model, which last received a facelift in 2017. To improve the look of this model, we will find a very modern and attractive design.
The rear shows a coupé-like appearance that is very interesting and enhances the sporty style that is also present in this saloon. To achieve this striking look, the engineers at Hyundai based their work on the Sensuous Sportiness design language, which brings that sporty flavour reflected in this new generation of the Sonata.

Don’t be surprised if you feel you have seen this model before, as it is based on the Le Fil Rouge prototype, which was shown at last year’s Geneva Motor Show. That concept car has been styled to offer a special appeal, carefully using concave and convex curves on the bodywork.

The Sensous Sportiness style offers a short overhang, and a roofline curve and a lower tailgate offer a more dynamic image with better balance to maintain the sporty look. With the front chrome accent, typical of Hyundai and reaching up to the bonnet, and the LED lighting, the design breaks away from that of the current Sonata.
The Sonata’s increased length comes to 45 mm… wait, correcting this: the increased length of the Sonata is 45 mm, while the wheelbase has also grown, by 35 mm which, although it may seem little, provides additional interior space. In this space, incidentally, you will find higher-quality materials and the design has also been reworked.
For now, we don’t know details of the engines that will equip the different versions of the Hyundai Sonata. We do hope, however, that among them there will be hybrid versions and even a fully electric Sonata. It will be presented at the §h33§New York Motor Show§h34§, and that is when the Korean brand will offer more information about its new generation of the Hyundai Sonata.
