The Infiniti QX70 arrives, ready to conquer New York

The premium car brands want to have a strong presence at the 2016 New York Auto Show, since the American market is one of the most important for them. At the show in the Big Apple we will be able to see how they plan to win over buyers of this type of car and what they will offer to convince them that it is the best possible choice for getting around cities and the great American highways.

The Infiniti QX70 aims to be the model that makes Americans choose the Asian brand to park these cars in their garages this year. The model on display in New York will be the second from the brand to carry the Limited designation, which the QX80 already wore before. To set it apart from earlier models, this version gets a different front end, with LED daytime running lights and a different grille which, although reserved for this model for now, could end up on the base model in a few months.

The other changes visible on this Limited model are the vents in the same colour as the bodywork, dark-finished mirrors, an aluminium protector for the rear bumper and rear lights in a darker tone, to give it a different look. The 21-inch wheels are fitted with 265/45 tyres, something also absent from the base model.

Although the 3.7-litre V6 petrol engine remains the only option, with 325 CV of power, the interior has been reworked to give the model a more elegant touch. The cabin features upholstery in black and white, a dark roof that enhances the look of the cabin, and wood and aluminium accents. This interior finish also includes important driver assistance systems, such as lane change assist and the brand’s obstacle monitoring system.

This is a very popular model in New York, which is why this show was chosen to introduce this special version, in order to please New Yorkers and boost its presence on the streets of the Big Apple.
