The interior of the new Peugeot 3008 leaks and we love what we see

The team at Peugeot suffered a small slip in recent hours, as a couple of official photographs of the new 3008 were leaked ahead of schedule.
This gives us a first idea of what to expect, since the people at Peugeot have prepared a cabin more modern than ever.
The Peugeot 3008 is a compact SUV in the C segment that has been competing for a few years with models such as the Nissan Qashqai and the Volkswagen Tiguan. It was launched in the second half of 2008, so we are talking about a model that can already be considered a veteran.
Its interior is outdated compared with its rivals today, although it has aged fairly well, since it was originally designed in a relatively modern way, especially by the standards the French brand had accustomed us to, with details such as the Head-Up Display or the aircraft-style switches.
The new generation of the 3008 is almost ready, and its launch is scheduled for the end of this year. Today we got our first look, thanks to leaks, at the first two images of the new 3008 generation, specifically of its interior, which at first glance offers a more than notable evolution over its predecessor.

For the first time in a Peugeot we find a fully digital instrument cluster
The family resemblance is there, that is clear. However, I think we are looking at one of the best interiors in the brand’s history, which has masterfully evolved the 3008’s cabin to make it one of the benchmarks of the segment. Although the main lines remain, everything changes for the better.
The instrument cluster is repositioned at the top of the dashboard, following the i-Cockpit layout of models such as the 308 and the 208, and for the first time in the brand it is fully digital. The central screen, which handles the entire navigation and entertainment system, sits somewhat lower to give a better view. It is also noticeably larger than the current one. We do not know whether it can fold away or retract, although it seems that will not be possible.
Overall it also recalls the dashboard of the 308, though busier, with more buttons. In addition, special attention has been paid to details such as the decorative trim and the ambient lighting, aspects that until now were somewhat neglected in Peugeot. Without a doubt, the 3008 seems set to kick off a new generation of premium interiors within the French firm.
