It seems that Korean brands are going through one of their best moments, and with good reason. They keep renewing models and with new ideas to improve their offer. Kia is reportedly about to decide to offer two of its models, the Cee´d and the Rio, renewed with sportier variants.

It seems the final word on engines has not yet been said, but a spokesperson for the brand has assured that they may take the path followed by the first Skoda Fabia vRS, a sports car, if I may put it that way, which offered 130 horsepower of diesel power.

All of this would probably mean that the Rio will be fitted with the 1.7-litre diesel engines of the Kia Optima, while the Cee´d would get a new two-litre engine producing 180 CV.

On top of this, more aggressive body kits and firmer suspension settings would be added. It is even suggested that the Rio will be the first model to be launched, with the Cee´d following later.
