EV9 KIA Electric Cars SUV Technology
The KIA EV9 gains 223 km of range in 15 minutes with its 800 V charging system
The remarkable and innovative EV9 has many useful features that contribute to sustainability and comfort on journeys and while driving

The Kia EV9 stands out as a pioneer, not only for its design but also for its revolutionary charging system, which places it at the forefront of innovation and technology in electric vehicles. Every detail of this car has been carefully designed to make charging faster, simpler and more versatile, removing any barrier between drivers and the recently opened charging stations.
The electric heart of the Kia EV9 beats at 800 volts, bringing to life ultra-rapid charging that adds up to 223 km of range in just 15 minutes. This new standard not only speeds up charging but also reduces battery heating, optimising energy retention and ensuring a more efficient charging experience.

Bidirectional Charging, Kia Charge and Kia Connect Live
Imagine having total control over the charging of your electric vehicle. The combination of Kia Charge and Kia Connect Live not only lets you locate charging points but also provides real-time information about them. In addition, thanks to the Plug & Charge function, you only need to plug in the cable for charging to start immediately, whereas users previously had to verify their accounts with RFID cards or mobile apps.
The Kia EV9 does not merely charge; it goes further with its bidirectional technology, which has the capacity to power 110 V/220 V electrical devices. It also features an intelligent route planner that detects the need for charging, suggests charging points along your route and even alerts you when it is the perfect moment to charge, all automatically.

A mobile generator
But the most incredible thing about the EV9 is that it has bidirectional charging, enabling the supply of energy to electrical devices (V2L), potentially to homes (V2H), buildings (V2B) and to the electricity grid (V2G) in the future. The Kia Smart Charging technology allows users to power devices by plugging the cable into the charging port. With functions such as V2H and V2B, it can supply energy to homes and buildings for 5 to 10 days. V2G technology makes it possible to store renewable energy and return it to the grid, stabilising the electricity network, promoting sustainability and potentially reducing electricity costs. Furthermore, the EV9, with its high energy efficiency and 99.8 kWh battery, achieves an outstanding range of up to 668 km in urban environments according to the WLTP cycle.

More than 600,000 charging points
The Kia global charging network offers access to more than 600,000 charging points in 28 countries and continues to grow. From public stations to points at dealerships and ultra-rapid chargers in Spain, Kia has built a network that makes charging your EV9 as easy as charging your phone.
However, Kia Spain already has fast chargers at all its dealerships and, in addition, is committed to building an ultra-rapid charging infrastructure together with the energy company EDP, which will have 40 charging points, with power outputs between 150 kW and 350 kW.
