Grandland Opel Hybrid Cars SUV
The Opel Grandland arrives on the market in 2024 with Mild-Hybrid technology
The Opel Grandland is set to debut in 2024 and, among the different engine options it will offer, the Mild-Hybrid version has been announced, with 136 CV.

The Opel Grandland is preparing for the arrival on the market of its new version in 2024. We already knew that this compact SUV would come with several engine types. Among them, we will find a 1.2-litre petrol engine, which is turbocharged and offers 130 CV. There is also a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 130 CV. The range will be completed by two plug-in hybrid versions, with a 1.6-litre combustion engine that will deliver 225 and 300 CV respectively.
But besides all these engines we already knew about, we are going to discover a new option. It is a 48-volt mild-hybrid engine, which arrives to complement the range. This version receives the GS designation and, although it had been announced a few weeks ago, its characteristics were not known.

As for the engine, we already know it will be a 1.2-litre internal combustion engine, delivering 136 CV and a maximum torque of 230 Nm. This unit will be supported by the 48-volt hybrid system, which will provide greater thrust, lower fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions.
It will feature a six-speed e-DCS6 automatic gearbox, which will send engine torque to the front axle. It will be equipped with a battery that allows the car to run on electric power at certain times. Although the distances will not be long, it can be used for short city trips, which means it can display the ECO environmental label from the DGT.
Other data that has been made public includes the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration, which is 10.1 seconds, and a top speed of 188 km/h. According to the WLTP cycle, consumption is 6.2 l/100 km and CO2 emissions are 125 g/km.
Equipment of the Opel Grandland GS
The safety equipment of the Opel Grandland GS will be on a par with the rest of the versions. This means it will include a good range of driver assistance systems, such as cruise control with speed limiter and hill start assist. The information and entertainment system is controlled through a 10-inch screen and it also has front and rear parking sensors.
