The Land Rover Discovery Sport receives an update and brings major new features

The Land Rover Discovery Sport is the brand’s seven-seat SUV, the favourite of families who use the brand, as it has room to accommodate the whole family and more. The Discovery Sport range has been updated and now includes several trim levels, such as the Discovery Sport Metropolitan and the Landmark.

The model has been reworked to make it more versatile and appealing to users. According to the brand, it is more functional, more luxurious and can be customised to give it a more interesting look. The range starts with the Dynamic S trim, which features alloy wheels and optional packs to enhance the customisation offer.

The versatility of its cabin means that up to 24 seat configurations can be used. In addition, the cargo area is very flexible, with a capacity of up to 1,794 litres.

Land Rover Discovery Sport Metropolitan

The Metropolitan trim features the Discovery badge in Atlas Silver on the bonnet and tailgate. It can also be seen on the front sump guards in Indus Silver. The front grille features a silver insert, and the side steps are visible when the doors are opened.

On the side, the 20-inch alloy wheels stand out, with multiple spokes and a Diamond Turned finish, although a Gloss Black finish is also available. Inside, there is Windsor leather on the heated front seats and 14 positions to improve comfort. The Meridian surround sound system delivers 650 W of power through 14 speakers, as well as the Clearsight Rear View Mirror system, which lets you see behind the vehicle with ease and is very practical. The air purifier in the cabin makes journeys much more comfortable.

Land Rover Discovery Sport Landmark

The Landmark trim is represented by the image of a mountain range, a logo that first appeared on the original Discovery in 1989. In this version, it appears on the aluminium side steps, together with the trim name. At night, the logo is projected onto the ground when the vehicle is unlocked, welcoming users.

It has a panoramic roof that makes the cabin brighter and gives it a more open feel. It is equipped with Click & Go device holders in the second row, and a peripheral vision camera makes manoeuvring easier. The roof rails maximise versatility.

Dynamic S

This trim level features lower side panels in Gloss Black and the Discovery lettering. The grille, wheel arches, lower bumpers and the front skid plate details are also in this colour, giving a robust and powerful look.

Like the other trims, it includes a digital instrument cluster and paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The central screen sits in the centre console and measures 11.4 inches with curved glass.

The Pivi Pro infotainment system features side bars in an accessible position that provide shortcuts to the vehicle’s key controls and functions. Media functions, volume, climate control and navigation are more accessible thanks to these bars. Each of these functions can be reached with just two taps on the home screen. It also includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly.

Optional packs

For the new Land Rover Discovery Sport, new optional packs have been created, which complete the vehicle’s offer and allow it to be adapted to specific environments. These packs are Beach Days (Beach), Road Trip (Road) and Snow Days (Snow), complementing the Biking Adventure (Cycling) and For Dogs (Pets) options.

Engines

The Discovery Sport is available with several engines. Mild Hybrid versions are available, as well as plug-in hybrids. The latter offer the ability to run in electric mode for up to 91 kilometres, and their battery can be charged in 30 minutes with a DC fast charger. The Mild-Hybrid models are equipped with Ingenium diesel engines, which reduce consumption and polluting emissions.

The starting price of the new Land Rover Discovery Sport is €58,900, and it is already available at the brand’s dealerships.
