The Lexus LC 500h, even more exclusive with the special Yellow Edition

Lexus has just unveiled the Yellow Edition trim for the LC 500h, which enhances its supercar design through the use of yellow tones

Sports cars always carry an implicit sense of exclusivity but, on certain occasions, manufacturers decide to emphasise that side of their creations. The Lexus LC arrived on the market as a full-fledged Super GT, offering its drivers a high level of performance with modest consumption, especially in its 500h variant. However, the Japanese brand has decided to go one step further, which it has achieved with the creation of the Lexus LC 500h Yellow Edition. This special trim enhances the lines of the Japanese sports car with yellow paint and a series of matching details.

Lexus wanted to highlight the design of the LC through a set of yellow tones that perfectly represent its character. To do so, it has kept the performance and mechanics unchanged but has altered the trim options and colours, thus offering its customers a freer level of personalisation that adapts to their tastes and needs.

As the name of this special edition itself indicates, the Japanese sports car has been finished in a yellow colour called Naples Yellow. This tone enhances the essence of the Lexus LC 500h and gives it a sportier, more aggressive look, something that can also be perceived in the cabin. The Lexus design team has used first-class materials to craft the LC Yellow Edition, where leather and Alcantara are the main protagonists.

To be more precise, Lexus has included various pieces trimmed in black, a colour that contrasts perfectly with the warm yellow Alcantara installed on the LC 500h’s door panels. At the same time, this same tone has been used for the seat stitching, the central console armrest and dashboard, three elements that have received white semi-aniline leather upholstery. Finally, the roof has also been trimmed in black Alcantara, with the aim of continuing the play of contrasts presented by the Yellow Edition.

Despite the visual changes, Lexus has not announced any mechanical changes, so the heart of the Lexus LC 500h will remain the same. This means that under the bonnet of the Yellow Edition lies a V6 engine capable of producing 359 CV of power and 475 Nm of torque, figures achieved thanks to the presence of an electric motor.

However, Lexus reserves the LC 500 version for more purist customers, since it houses a powerful naturally aspirated V8 capable of delivering 477 CV of power and will also receive the Yellow Edition trim. The official presentation of this very special Lexus LC is reserved for the Paris Motor Show, an event that will bring together some of the most important automotive new releases.
