The Lexus LFA returns as an "Art Car" for the 24 Hours of Spa
Lexus will bring the LFA back to life as an “Art Car” in the hands of Portuguese artist Pedro Henriques, who has created a unique design for the car.

Many experts say that the automotive world is closely related to the world of art, something manufacturers demonstrate with designs worthy of appreciation. After years of enjoying the refined, stylized Italian lines, Lexus arrived from Japan with the LFA, a supercar that combined extraordinary mechanics with an attractive and daring design. Now, the Japanese firm has decided to revive this iconic model as an “Art Car” for the 24 Hours of Spa, an event taking place next week that will gather thousands of motorsport enthusiasts.
Lexus has kept the lines of the LFA intact, thus respecting the design of that supercar we met in 2010 and which we were able to test alongside other F-badged models. Eight years after it came to life, the LFA returns in the hands of the Japanese firm to captivate everyone present and put its performance to the test on the track.
Lexus entrusted the task of turning the LFA into a work of art on wheels to Pedro Henriques, a Portuguese artist who has used the body of the Japanese supercar as his canvas. On this very special LFA, lines have been painted that embrace the sporty character emanating from Lexus’s supercar, which were created with the aim of capturing the fluidity of contemporary life, according to Henriques.

This new design is applied to all angles of the Lexus LFA, thus covering part of the front, sides and rear. In this way, the fluidity of the lines can be observed from any point from which we view the Japanese supercar. However, although we are presented with a bolder aesthetic thanks to Pedro Henriques’ intervention, the impressive mechanics of the LFA have been respected and remain intact.
Beneath its skin lies a powerful naturally aspirated 4.8-litre V10 engine capable of delivering 560 CV of power and 480 Nm of torque, figures that allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 325 km/h. At the same time, the exhaust system developed together with Yamaha gives the Lexus LFA one of the most catchy and impressive sounds in the world.

The Lexus LFA “Art Car” will make its debut at the 24 Hours of Spa, where it will be joined by two RC F GT3s that will attempt to claim victory in this demanding competition. The race starts on 26 July and will gather not only vehicles of the calibre of the Lexus LFA, but also other iconic models and many participants eager to achieve glory.
