The all-new Lexus UX has just been redesigned, and the brand has assured that these improvements “bring more style, enhanced multimedia connectivity and a new sporty trim, the F Design”. The changes will be reflected in the Lexus UX 250h hybrid. This model is built on the brand’s GA-C platform, which offers a low centre of gravity and great rigidity with the aim of delivering a very rewarding drive.

The new Lexus UX version features new Lexus Link multimedia systems that provide more agile, intuitive and people-focused operation, without forgetting great functionality. Depending on the equipment level chosen by the driver, the new UX features screens measuring 20.3 cm (8″) and 31.2 cm (12.3″), with touch technology replacing the previous panel controller. The new screens have been moved 143 mm forward in the instrument cluster, bringing them closer to the driver for more comfortable use. They offer sharper graphics, in high definition on the 31.2 cm (12.3″) screen.

The model also includes a new voice recognition system that is activated by saying “Hey Lexus”. This technology allows you to make calls, control the audio system and climate control, and even search the internet. It also offers wireless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The new member of the Lexus family follows the brand’s Omotenashi concept. In addition, drivers will be able to enjoy the new trim called F Sport Design, which features a specific design for both the bumpers and the moldings. It also comes with 18-inch alloy wheels with ten spokes and a dark metallic finish. Among other features, the new Lexus includes Tahara leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control with Nanoe-X air quality system from Panasonic, a rear camera with parking guidelines, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, Bi-LED front headlights with AHB, black longitudinal roof bars, black mouldings on the wheel arches and the Lexus “F” emblem.

Likewise, the F Sport version now comes as standard with adaptive variable suspension (AVS) and performance dampers at the front and rear, elements that contribute to agile handling and chassis response of the model, as well as a smoother ride quality over any surface. The AVS has been tuned to directly increase damping force when conditions require it, thus providing a less abrupt change in the vehicle’s behaviour. The system’s adjustment has also reduced vibrations at high and medium frequencies.

Among the new features of the new Lexus UX is its new colour called Iridium Sonic, developed with the brand’s sonic technology, “through which a layer only a few microns thick aligns the metallic flakes in the paint more uniformly and compactly, resulting in greater brightness and a deeper tone across the entire bodywork”.
