The Mahindra XUV500 receives the W10 version, with more complete equipment
Mahindra is known for offering extensive equipment at an attractive price with its XUV500, and now expands the range with the top-of-the-line version called W10

With the aim of continuing to grow as a global brand, Mahindra updated its flagship model, the XUV500, in the spring of the year, giving it a design that follows the styling standards set for the European market. At launch, it reached the markets with two trim levels called W6 and W8, to which we must now add another, more complete one under the name W10.
The Mahindra XUV500 could be considered the flagship of the Indian brand, but don’t be misled by its origin: with its 7 seats and extensive standard equipment at a competitive price, it is a very valid option. Whether its design and level of finish ultimately win you over is another matter. Mahindra updated the XUV500 last year, giving it a clear leap in quality over its predecessor both inside and out, and it can now also be specified with extensive standard equipment thanks to its three versions. It has no shortage of arguments; now it has to convince potential buyers.

To do so, Mahindra offers three versions of the XUV500, each differentiated by its equipment and certain finish details, called W6, W8 and W10. The first, the W6, is the most basic, while the W8 is the best-equipped version so far, also using higher-quality materials. The latter differs from the W6 on the outside by using a chrome trim on the tailgate, and it includes features such as leather upholstery for the seats, an infotainment system with navigation and a 7-inch touchscreen, and seats with 8-way adjustment, among others.
On the outside, the new W10 version, in addition to everything in the W6 and W8, features an electric sunroof, chrome window surrounds, 18-inch alloy wheels in diamond-cut anthracite colour, and the Sunset Orange colour, which joins the 6 other existing colours. Buyers can also add a package called Sport Pack, in which elements such as the wheels, the mirror housings and part of the front bumper become black; it also includes two-tone paint with a Black roof that can be combined with Orange, White, Silver or Red for the rest of the bodywork.

As for its already complete equipment, you can still add more thanks to another package called Entertainment Pack. This consists of two monitors installed in the headrests of the rear seats, which will delight the occupants of the rear seats, and provides the XUV500 with a premium sound system with DAB digital audio broadcasting.
Mechanically there is no change, so the W10 version also fits the 2,200 cc common-rail m-Hawk engine that delivers a power of 140 CV, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It is available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, the latter being engaged electronically, and also features a Start&Stop function.
The Mahindra XUV500 W10 price in Spain is €26,935 for the 4×2 version, while the 4×4 model is priced at €28,896. If you add the Sport Pack, you must add €1,437 to the bill, plus the €1,412 that will also be added if you install the Entertainment Pack.
