The Mazda3 would also get a diesel engine

The Mazda3 has been conceived as an occasional sports car, for those who enjoy pushing the car to its limits from time to time, and whose variants we can also enjoy in our country. Qualities that the MPS version (Mazda Performance Series) of the Mazda3 that we tested a few months ago has demonstrated.
Now Mazda wants to bring diesel to those potential Mazda3 customers who want to try the benefits of diesel engines. The company announced that a version with at least 190 hp, with a diesel engine, would be available in the North American market, for the 3- and 5-door versions.
For the moment, it is not yet known how Mazda will manage to deliver on what has been promised in this Mazda3 diesel project, since the aims are even more ambitious than what the new 2.2 diesel engine from Mazda offers. It will most likely be fitted with a turbo or, more probably, remapped to meet expectations.
