The Stig fired from Top Gear

Well, it seems The Stig was not so invulnerable after all, nor was Top Gear’s ancestral secret so well kept. Today it was published in the British press that The Stig was finally fired by the BBC.
If you remember that a few days ago we had anticipated that there would be trouble between the BBC and the mysterious driver of the British programme, you will recall that a book was going to reveal the secret so well guarded by Top Gear: the identity of The Stig, which finally happened; The Stig turned out to be Ben Collins, former Formula 3 driver and stunt double for action films.
Now the BBC has hired another driver to take over as The Stig, the third in the history of the programme. The “new Stig” has already made his first appearance at a Top Gear event in Germany. Meanwhile, the “old Stig” was photographed with his children at his home in Britain.
Top Gear’s executives have said that The Stig and his secret are a fundamental part of the programme’s identity and idiosyncrasy. It would not surprise me at all if within a few months speculation about who the third Stig is starts up again.

Hola motoronline:
No puedo creer que no conocieras a The Stig, personaje por el cual todos se desviven queriendo saber su vida y obra. La pasta de seguro que se la llevó, junto con otra pasta de la BBC por cancelación de contrato.
Un saludo
