The Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Cabrio is on show for you to enjoy

We have already had the chance to see the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Cabrio, the new convertible from the German high-performance brand, which ranks as the second most powerful in its range. The model offers excellent equipment and features an engine that will make an impression once it starts circulating on our roads. And of course, the styling it presents is very attractive and will let you enjoy driving to the full.

On the exterior, the already familiar AMG front grille stands out. It defines the brand’s style along with the Full LED headlights that complete the model’s lighting signature. These can optionally be replaced by Digital Light headlights to improve visibility even further. The front bumper features a large air intake, giving it a more aggressive and efficient look. There are two more air intakes to improve airflow.

The wheel arches are somewhat larger, giving the whole car a more robust and dynamic look. Standard wheels are 19 inches, but a set of 20-inch wheels is also available. At the rear, the light clusters are joined by an LED light strip, which also emphasises the car’s signature.

A technological interior that makes driving easier

Facing the driver is a 12.3-inch screen, which displays all driving-related information, while the central screen measures 11.9 inches. This screen can be tilted from 15 to 40 degrees to avoid reflections and ensure perfect visibility.

The screen in front of the driver offers several display modes: Classic, Sport and Supersport. The latter is exclusive to AMG and has a very attractive design. The display features a central round rev counter and horizontal panels so the driver can see all the data clearly and simply.

The cabin has ambient lighting with 64 colours. It runs through several parts of the interior and surrounds the occupants. For greater comfort, the seats are upholstered in leather and feature a covering that reflects infrared waves that heat the fabric. As a result, the treated leather stays about 12 degrees cooler than traditional leather under the same conditions. AMG Performance seats are available as an option for even more comfort.

The model’s engine

The Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Cabrio uses an improved version of the 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine. It produces 560 Nm of torque, which can reach 600 Nm for 10 seconds when the boost mode is activated. This engine is paired with an electric motor, which forms the 48-volt mild hybrid system.

Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h, although it can be increased up to 270 km/h with the AMG Driver package.

In addition, the model has special features such as the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G gearbox, which provides shorter shift times and paddles on both sides of the steering wheel for manual gear changes. The AMG DYNAMIC SELECT system is also included, allowing you to adjust the steering and suspension characteristics for the best result at all times.

Another thing to note is that AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive and AMG RIDE CONTROL, which allows greater control of the steering, are also standard. The rear axle is steerable and helps the car take corners more safely.

The soft top

This is a very important element and has been carefully designed to offer maximum functionality. It is made of acoustic fabric, which efficiently insulates against external noise. It has also been designed so that the car can be driven all year round, as it is also insulated to maintain the interior temperature.

It can be raised and lowered in 20 seconds at speeds of up to 60 km/h. It operates with an electric motor, which is much quieter and causes no discomfort to the occupants.
