We are beginning to see the first examples of cars running on alternative fuels and technologies that are already trying to enter the market. BMW has done so with its 1 Series electric, so why wouldn’t the brand with the star, which will offer on lease the Class B fuel cell?

The offer will be made in the US, specifically in the state of California, the Eden of alternative cars. Only 70 people will be able to enjoy the new Class B for a period of 36 months by paying the monthly lease, and we assume they will be customers of Mercedes previously selected by the brand.

If you don’t remember very well what the Class B F-Cell is about, let us remind you that it is a car based on the use of hydrogen as fuel and that it has a range of around 400 km, requiring only 3 minutes to refuel. The problem, for now, is the non-existent infrastructure for hydrogen cars and the safety of the vehicle itself, which Mercedes has tried to resolve with about 30 additional crash tests.
