The MG EHS 2024 will arrive in Spain in September. Do you want to know what it will offer?

The MG brand is positioning itself as one of the new names that is best reaching buyers. One of the most popular MG models is the plug-in hybrid SUV EHS, which will soon receive an update bringing new features to the model. The Spanish division of the brand has already announced when this new version of the model will arrive and some of the new features it will include for the occupants to enjoy.

The MG HS variant with hybrid engine is the most popular version of the SUV, so the update will feature this version as the flagship of this model. The first change that will be visible is the front end. It will be more aggressive and have a more attractive look. The rear optical units have been redesigned and the brand assures that the information and entertainment system will benefit from a significant improvement.

The dimensions of this SUV give it a length of 4.57 metres, while the boot has a capacity of 448 litres. This places it in the market of C-segment SUVs. Although the novelties of this model have not been fully revealed, we can review what the current version offers, and with it we can get an idea of the improvements the new version will have.

To begin with, the plug-in hybrid system of this SUV consists of a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine. This unit delivers 162 CV. The electric motor offers 90 kW, equivalent to 122 CV. Working together, the total power reaches 258 CV.

The electric motor draws energy from the battery with a capacity of 16 kWh, which allows the MG EHS to travel a total of 56 kilometres in electric mode. This makes it eligible for the DGT ECO label. However, this battery only supports charging at a power of 3.7 kW, so it needs 4.5 hours to recharge fully.
