The Mini Aceman Concept could be revealed this very week
Next Wednesday, 27 July, the brand belonging to the BMW group will present its electric Mini Aceman Concept.

The electric Mini Aceman Concept could be presented sooner than you think. The brand, which belongs to the BMW group, may be about to reveal its new design language. Mini is heading in a new direction when it comes to the design of future vehicles and will not rely as heavily on the old-school styling cues that have characterised most of its products so far. We will see this new design direction in a new electric model that was promised for revelation at the end of this month, but when?
On the upcoming 27 July, Mini will present its new Aceman Concept. That name deliberately recalls the Mini Paceman, a model that was discontinued long ago, and we have been waiting for an electric version of this SUV since March. Now, we will finally learn what the carmaker intends for the future of its brand.
The new concept car will be unveiled as part of a digital presentation on the website of the BMW Group. This is all Mini has revealed so far, but previous presentations have told us that the new Mini will be a “crossover model for the premium small car segment”.
Everything we know about the electric Mini Aceman Concept
Oliver Heilmer, head of Mini Design, has assured that “the DNA of Mini Design will be clearly shown in all models of this new generation, leaving its affiliation with the brand beyond any doubt”. This indicates there will be a mix of new and old styling elements, and this new spirit will carry through to everything, from the completely new concept to the rest of Mini’s upcoming offerings. As for its bodywork, the Aceman Concept could be roughly the same size as the Cooper Countryman.

The teaser suggests a multifunction front fascia with an integrated “screen” of LED lights, but this may be just conceptual flair. We also expect a new version of the interior design, since Mini has previously said it seeks to reduce the number of components in the car while keeping analogue control units wherever possible.
We will therefore see multipurpose screens paired with physical controls. It has also been promised that future Mini models will be leather-free and short on chrome, so don’t expect any animal leather or much traditional shiny work in the Aceman Concept. The difference will be “an increasing proportion of secondary raw materials, as well as natural and recycled materials”. We will have to wait until Wednesday to learn all the secrets of the Mini Aceman Concept.
