The models of DS come with the DS Connect Nav, the new navigation system debuting on the DS5
Starting this year, the DS brand offers the option of fitting the DS Connect Nav navigation system, produced by TOM TOM, which lets it update the connectivity equipment for its models. Initially, however, it will only be available on the DS5

We depend more and more on our satnavs, and these, in response to this need we have, offer us more and more features. The DS brand has also thought about the users of its vehicles and has developed the DS Connect Nav, which will replace the current system. This system makes it possible to obtain all the traffic information along the route, including data on road conditions, petrol prices at the various service stations, free spaces in car parks and other useful information.
This system is backed by one of the leading satnav brands, TomTom, and features some new elements, including Full 3D view. To keep users always well informed, the system will be updated four times a year completely free of charge. In this way, the user will not have to worry about it for the entire working life of the car, as the updates will be carried out throughout that whole period.
The navigation system can be activated and managed by voice, so that it can work alongside the phone and music, meaning the driver does not have to take their eyes off the road to operate the navigation system and the other functions. The screen allows the systems to be switched on and off with a simple swipe of the finger, without needing to press the screen, just as can be done on smartphones.
The information the satnav receives includes the traffic status, which is updated every two minutes; the location of service stations, along with the prices they offer; the car parks available in the area being driven through, with the price of each one and, where the service is available, the number of free spaces in it; the weather forecast; and local points of interest, such as restaurants, hotels and everything else needed to get around the destination.
For the time being, only the DS5 will be fitted with this system, although over the year the DS Connect Nav will be rolled out across the rest of the brand’s models, which for now also come with the DS CONNECT BOX, which connects the car to an emergency centre in the event of an accident and monitors the car’s condition, or the Mirror Screen, which mirrors the smartphone screen onto the navigation display.
