The Mustang will change its face in 2018 and will look even more spectacular
The Mustang has made a strong entrance into the European market, it remains a benchmark in the United States, and in 2018 it will receive an update that brings changes to the bodywork and its look, plus the addition of a new 10-speed automatic gearbox

The Ford Mustang arrived in the European market a year ago and has become one of the most important muscle-cars. The current generation is the sixth since it reached the American market. It will remain on sale for a few more years, but we will have the chance to enjoy a facelift of the current model that will arrive during 2018.
This update will feature some exterior changes to reinforce its image, as well as an update to some interior elements. The main change to its exterior will be the front grille, which will give it an even more dynamic look. The light units will also be modified, and it will feature redesigned bumpers, both front and rear.

As for the mechanics, the 5.0-litre Ecoboost engine, the 2.3-litre V8 blocks and the 3.7-litre V6 engine exclusive to the American market will be carried over to this new version, so the full range of power outputs available so far will remain. But one of the main changes in this update is hidden under the car’s skin.
It is the incorporation of the 10-speed automatic gearbox. This gearbox can already be enjoyed in the Chevrolet Camaro in the United States. With this move, the driving experience will improve and the engine’s power can be enjoyed in a different and more practical way.
For now, this transmission will only be available on the domestic market, so Europeans will have to wait a little longer to find out whether units destined for our roads will get this novelty in future Mustangs. In any case, all this information comes from statements made by a member of the Ford executive team, since the official announcement will be made at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show, with more specific details at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show.
