The new Audi A6 under review
Problems with certain aspects of the active safety of the new Audi A6 are forcing the German brand to launch a preventive recall campaign

Audi has just confirmed that the new generation of its appealing Audi A6 must undergo a review due to certain localised problems, possibly stemming from manufacturing defects or from the use of materials that may not have the quality required for a saloon of this kind
It appears that the affected models are those sold during 2011 and 2012, all of them associated with the saloon body style, which curiously presents issues with its safety measures. I say curiously because since it reached the market, this has been one of the most widely used promotional terms Audi has employed to market it

It appears that the localised problem, according to the Spanish National Institute of Consumption, “there is a possibility that the seams of the head airbag inflatable bag have not been made correctly“. Precisely for this reason, “the head airbag inflatable bag may fail to deploy. In the event of an accident in which the head airbags are triggered, they may not provide their protective effect, with the consequent risk of additional injuries”
As is logical and customary, Audi is not going to be any different: the German company will contact each owner of the affected vehicles to proceed with their repair immediately and free of charge
