The Bavarian brand has just unveiled this commemorative special edition of its M4, of which only 700 units will be sold worldwide, with a striking look

BMW M4 Edición “BMW 50 Aniversario”

Following the recent celebration of the 50th anniversary of BMW M just a few weeks ago, the German brand is back with a new, very limited special edition to mark this milestone, boasting great exclusivity, a design with elements specific to the version, and plenty of personality.

As could not be otherwise, BMW has chosen its popular BMW M4 Coupé as the basis for this version, which is named the BMW M4 Edition “BMW 50th Anniversary”, of which 700 units will be sold worldwide, of which only 20 units will be reserved for the Spanish market. Specifically, 8 examples of the M4 Competition Coupé with rear-wheel drive and 12 M4 Competition Coupé M xDrive will arrive.

Its exclusive elements

Starting with the exterior of this edition, BMW offers five exterior paints available from its BMW Individual catalogue: Carbon Black, Macao Blue, Brands Hatch Grey, Imola Red and San Marino Blue which, together with the 19-inch wheels for the front axle and 20-inch wheels for the rear in Orbit Grey or matt Gold Bronze, make up the most eye-catching elements at first glance of the version.

In addition to the above, there is plenty of carbon fibre on the front bumper, sill panels, mirror housings, roof, air intakes, spoiler and, finally, the prominent diffuser that surrounds its four exhaust outlets.

An interior with many details

Inside, the Merino leather upholstery with the edition’s commemorative logo on the headrests of the carbon-fibre bucket seats, the access trim on the door frames, and the “M4 Edition 50 Jahre BMW M” plaque on the central console serve as distinguishing features compared to a standard M4.

As for its mechanical section, it retains the 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder inline engine that produces 510 CV and 650 Nm of torque. As a novelty, the top speed limiter has been raised from 250 km/h to 290 km/h, something that until now was reserved only for the M Race Track Package.

Prices of the BMW M4 Edition “BMW 50th Anniversary” for Spain

That said, the price of this special edition for Spain is 143,997 euros if you opt for the rear-wheel-drive version, and 146,604 euros if you opt for the version with the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system.
