The new Citroën C3 bets on connectivity and safety
The New Citroën C3 comes loaded, both as standard equipment and as an option, with many active and passive safety systems, and also with the latest infotainment systems. This means great comfort and safety for the driver and their passengers.
ConnectedCAM by Citroën
We are increasingly used to new car models from manufacturers being loaded with active and passive safety features, either as standard or optional equipment, and also coming with the latest infotainment systems. The new Citroën C3 is no exception, and that is why the French brand has equipped this city car with the latest in connectivity and safety.
Some of these features are more commonly found in higher segments, but almost all cars, from the most modest to the most luxurious saloon, include very interesting systems in their equipment, not only for the driver but also for the occupants. In this case, the new Citroën C3, which adopts a look similar to the Cactus by incorporating Airbump panels, also includes innovations such as the ConnectedCAM Citroën. This connected camera allows you to take photos of what is happening in front of the vehicle and upload them immediately to social networks or archive them. In the event of an accident, the recording is activated automatically and allows one minute and thirty seconds of footage to be saved (30 seconds before and 1 minute after), which can be useful for the driver when an incident occurs and even serve as evidence.
Another of the systems available on the new Citroën C3 is the Citroën Connect Nav navigation system. It can be controlled by voice or through the 7″ touchscreen and is associated with services such as “TomTom Traffic”, which gives the driver real-time information on traffic conditions and possible incidents.
Hill start assist (Hill Assist)
As standard equipment, the new C3 offers the new generation of unintentional lane departure warning, which triggers an alert when the vehicle crosses a white line without the indicator having been activated. This system is complemented by the blind spot monitoring system, which shows, by means of a pictogram in the mirrors, the presence of a vehicle in areas not visible from the mirrors.
It also includes as standard hill start assist (Hill Assist), speed limit recognition and recommended rest indicator (Coffee Break Alert). The latter alerts the driver when it is time to take a break. The alert is issued after driving for two hours at speeds above 65 km/h, and it repeats every additional hour of driving.
If the new C3 is involved in an accident, emergency or mechanical breakdown, the Citroën Connect Box with SOS Pack allows the driver to contact a specialised assistance platform. The message includes the vehicle identification, its telephone coordinates and its precise geographical location, ensuring that assistance services arrive quickly and efficiently.
In this way, whether as standard or optional equipment on the new Citroën C3, we make sure you are fully protected and connected, which means great comfort and safety for the driver and passengers.
