Renault Coches hidrógeno Concepts
The new concept of Renault will be powered by hydrogen and will be unveiled in May
The new concept of Renault will be powered by hydrogen and could be revealed next May.

The company with the diamond logo has just published an image of its new concept. The new concept of Renault could debut next May and will become the flagship of its “sustainable development strategy”. It is worth noting that the concept of Renault will be equipped with a hydrogen engine that follows the decarbonisation path of the Renault Group, which involves the use of recycled and recyclable materials.
For now, we have only seen one image showing the front of the new French vehicle. It reveals fairly aggressive LED lighting units, additional lighting units in the bumper, and the illuminated emblem of the French brand, but there is clearly no grille visible. The bonnet introduces a new type of surface for the manufacturer. This new direction comes from Gilles Vidal, head of design at Renault.
Everything we know about the new hydrogen-powered Renault concept

Based on the published image, we cannot confirm the body type. At first glance it could look like a hatchback or even a B-SUV. Over recent months we have learned about the upcoming Renault 5, the Renault 4ever and the Renault Mégane E-Tech. The development of the hydrogen-powered concept of Renault, which still has no name, has focused on three fundamental pillars: the environment, safety and inclusion.
The diamond-badged brand itself has confirmed that the concept is part of its goal of achieving a fully electric energy mix by 2030. This means we could see a production version in the not-too-distant future. As the brand stated in its release, “inclusion is present through the diversity of the teams and the accessibility of the vehicle”. Likewise, “the technological innovations on board are at the service of driver and user safety”.
The new hydrogen-powered Renault concept “reflects the Group’s sustainable development commitments and the brand’s interpretation of Renault, dedicated to sustainable, safe and inclusive mobility”. It is worth noting that this concept fits within the target the company recently announced for achieving a 100% electric energy mix by 2030.
