The renewed RX from Toyota’s luxury division will make its appearance at next month’s Los Angeles show. The model is one of the most successful in Lexus, but it needs updating to maintain its sales.

Its design is not expected to be a revolutionary change, but it will move closer to that of the LF-Xh prototype we saw at the Sydney show, with cleaner and more elegant lines. The new RX will keep the two engine options of petrol and hybrid, and of the latter a plug-in version will follow in the future.

It will also grow 130 mm in length to increase rear seat space. After its launch in the North American market, it will not take long to reach Europe.
