The new Hyundai Venue greets us ahead of schedule through these sketches

The SUV world is about to welcome a new arrival that was already hinted at a week ago by the brand itself, the Hyundai Venue. That name corresponds to a new member of the Korean firm, and it will go head to head with the Kona. It is true that Hyundai had only given us a small preview in the form of a teaser, but now, thanks to these sketches, we have been able to learn many more features of the Venue, which hint at a new design language for both the exterior and the cabin.

With this new model, the Korean firm intends to further boost its SUV offensive and directly attack the most urban models in the segment. This will be possible because the Venue will sit directly below the Kona, thus being able to compete c with other vehicles of similar proportions such as the newly launched Volkswagen T-Cross.

A silhouette that previews a three-door SUV

We live in an automotive world in which three-door vehicles are in danger of extinction , not to say they have been eradicated. This is shown to us by the compact segment, which has gradually stopped offering this configuration, but it seems that Hyundai has wanted to continue betting on it, as the sketches of the Venue suggest.

In this way, we would be looking at a vehicle with sturdy dimensions but subtly softened by the presence of three doors, a body capable of bringing subtlety and elegance to the whole. At the same time, we find an imposing and eye-catching front end, on which two slim, elongated headlights are placed alongside a grille dominated by the brand’s logo and an exuberant bumper that attests to the undeniable SUV DNA the Venue will have.

At the rear, we can see how the drop of the C-pillar gives rise to that third door, on which two square taillights are placed that seek to establish a more youthful and less carefree character. As in the front area, here too we find a prominent bumper backed by the fog lights.

As for the cabin, we can see how the designers of Hyundai wanted to give it a new interpretation. At first, we find a completely spherical steering wheel that could be hiding a digital instrument cluster. In the center we notice the presence of a touchscreen that will feature connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; and, last but not least, the central console, which is guarded by the gear selector and an armrest.

On April 17 it will greet us in grand style

It will be at the New York International Auto Show where the Korean firm presents its latest offspring for the first time, the Venue. In this way we will be witnesses to how Hyundai continues its constant and positive growth, which is offering the market a range of vehicles with a value for money that is hard to beat.

At the same time, the SUV segment will benefit from the presence of the new Venue, a model that arrives ready to break with the schemes established until now. It will be on April 17 when the Korean SUV is fully unveiled to spice up the battle it is about to enter.
