The new Kia Venga, in February from €14,000

Last August, the company revealed that its new MPV, called Kia Venga, would be available in February. Now, although the full price range is not yet available, more information has emerged about the engines and the starting price, which will be €14,000 before any possible government incentives that we will enjoy throughout 2010.
The range will include a single petrol engine with 1.4 litres and 90 CV, which will be an attractive entry-level option at a reduced price. In diesel, there will be two 1.4 CRDI engines with 75 and 90 CV, while the more powerful version will be the 1.6 CRDI with 128 CV. All diesels will come with a six-speed gearbox, while the petrol version will be the only one with the classic and now almost obsolete five-speed gearbox.
The final trim levels in Spain will be four: Concept, Drive, Active and Emotion. All of them will come as standard with electronic stability control ESP, TCS, six airbags, ABS + EBD, Hill Holder, power steering, front electric windows, central locking and painted bumpers. The Active and Emotion versions will also feature the Stop&Start system, which will help reduce fuel consumption to, in the best case, 4.5 L/100 km combined, a fairly low figure despite the limited power: for an MPV, fuel consumption is something worth highlighting to buyers.
The most appealing options will be a sliding panoramic sunroof (shown in the attached photo gallery), a navigation system, a rear view camera, keyless start, automatic climate control and Bluetooth, although we assume there will be a wider range of extras available.
