The new Land Rover Defender is a movie car
It is not us who say so, but the production company that has decided that the new Land Rover Defender will be one of the cars in “No Time to Die”, the new 007 film
The new Land Rover Defender was born with the premise of being the same as ever, with the exception of improving what was already sublime. An old-school off-roader that has adapted to the times without losing its ability to be counted among the most beautiful cars for getting muddy.
That is why, for its bearing and its capabilities, this car was one of those chosen to take part in the filming of the new movie of the most famous secret agent in the service of Her Majesty of all time, James Bond.
In his film, yet to be released, titled “No Time to Die”, the Land Rover Defender 110 appears, the version with extended bodywork and wheelbase with high load capacity and an interior configuration for 5, 6 or 5+2 seats, a car that appears as one more star in the cast of pedigree vehicles featured in the films starring 007.
In this case we can see how the film’s stunt specialists have used a version prepared for high-risk scenes where the vehicle faces, overcomes and returns to tackle an endless series of challenges.

This is, in part, thanks to an architecture that gives it off-road credentials through approach, breakover and departure angles of 38, 28 and 40 degrees, respectively, as well as a maximum wading depth of 900 millimetres supported by the Wade program of the Terrain Response 2 system to cross water with the confidence that comes from driving a full off-roader with off-road capabilities like this one.
Despite this configuration, the production team has fitted this car with 20-inch wheels worthy of a high-performance car, which have been covered with tyres specific to off-road activities, which has only increased its appeal in front of the cameras and its effectiveness during filming, thanks to the Santorini Black finish it will display in the film.
Likewise, as seen in the images, the design team has decided to treat the car with dark finishes and underbody protection that add an extra touch of appeal and mystery to this new, so cinematic, Land Rover Defender.
A film that will still have to be waited for, as it will not be until 2 April 2020 that it is released in the United Kingdom, ahead of any other country, this new James Bond film, No Time to Die.
