The new Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance adds further exclusivity with the special "Edition 1" edition

What does it take to build the most powerful Mercedes-Benz S-Class in history? Quite simply, leave it in the hands of AMG so that every last drop of performance can be extracted from the powerful V8 engine, joined by an electric motor, resulting in the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance that the brand unveiled at the end of last year and which now begins sales in its home country in the exclusive special “Edition 1” version.

The performance of the new Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance is beyond doubt: a luxury saloon with lofty ambitions that holds its own when taken to a circuit. Under its bonnet sits a 4,000 cc twin-turbo V8 engine working in tandem with an electric motor to deliver a combined output of 802 CV and a torque of 1,430 Nm. Together with the 13.1 kWh battery, this allows it to cover up to 33 kilometres in fully electric mode.

For this “Edition 1” special edition, the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance benefits from extra equipment added to an already interesting list of standard features, such as Alpine Grey Uni paintwork from Manufaktur. On top of this comes a more sporting look thanks to the AMG Night Package exterior pack, which finishes the front and rear bumper trims, side moulding, mirror housings, window surrounds and exhaust outlets in gloss black, along with a chrome fuel cap and red brake callipers.

Opening the doors of the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance Edition 1, you will find sill plates with an illuminated red AMG logo, as well as AMG sports seats upholstered in Napa leather with contrasting red stitching. The same leather is used for the AMG steering wheel, combined with microfibre and red stitching. Red stitching also appears on the door panels and dashboard, combined with carbon-fibre trim, finished off with dedicated AMG floor mats and the “Edition 1” logo engraved on the centre console.

In addition, among the many items fitted as standard on the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance Edition 1, the following are also worth highlighting:

The Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance Edition 1 is currently on sale only in Germany, where it has a set price of 208,392 euros. For Spain and other markets, we will have to wait to find out both its price and availability.
