The Lexus LM is being renewed and gets ready to travel to Europe
In Europe, MPVs have practically disappeared from the market, but in Asia they remain very popular, and this Lexus wants to revive them in Europe.

A few years ago the Lexus LM was launched, a luxury MPV under the Japanese premium brand that was intended only for some Asian markets. Now, with the renewal of the model, it is expected to reach Europe. This MPV has an image of luxury and comfort, which will allow its occupants to travel in comfort and feel at ease on board a vehicle designed for travelling with full comfort.
The Shanghai Auto Show will be the stage where the new Japanese model is presented. For now, little is known about this MPV, which will initially be launched in China. It is a fairly important bet for Lexus, since we all know that MPVs are not exactly very popular vehicles in our market.

In principle, this model will be positioned against the Mercedes V-Class, although the brand assures that it will be more luxurious and offer more comfort for passengers. It is based on the Toyota Alphard, which is being sold in a seven-seat version. In contrast, the Lexus LM will have the option of only four seats and offer extra comfort and equipment for occupants of the rear seats.

After the presentation at the Shanghai Show, on 18 April, the Lexus LM will arrive in China, where vehicles of this class enjoy great acceptance among users. After a period still to be determined, Lexus will begin selling the LM in Europe. In principle, two types of engines are being prepared for Asia, one combustion and one hybrid. When it arrives in Europe, the model will only be available with this second option.
The current model, launched in 2020, uses a hybrid system that is also present with a four-cylinder 2.5-litre combustion engine. Together with the electric motor, it delivers 197 CV. This is the same hybrid drive system found in other models of the brand, such as the Lexus NX 300h. The price of this model is not known, although in China the top version of the range reaches the equivalent of 200,000 euros.
