The new Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG also gets its Edition 1

A few days ago, images of the Mercedes-AMG GT Edition 1 were released, the limited edition that accompanies each of the brand’s latest models at launch. The new C63 AMG press release confirmed that the most powerful version of the saloon would also get its own, but there were no photos to accompany the announcement. These have since appeared alongside those of the similar Mercedes-AMG GT, so we can now illustrate the details of this edition.
The C63 AMG Edition 1 is identified from the outside by its 19-inch wheels painted in matt black with a red rim colour, the optional package that includes several glossy black components such as the mirror housings and the window surrounds, the spoiler on the saloon’s boot lid, also in glossy black, red accents for the grille and mirrors, a black chrome finish for the rear diffuser, and specific decorative stripes on both side skirts.

The black and red colour scheme is also reflected in the black leather upholstery with red stitching on the seats, door panels and armrests, in the designo seat belts, in the floor mats with the “AMG” logo, in the steering wheel with the “Edition 1” emblem engraved in silver, and in the various inserts, which also feature metallic finishes.
Unlike the Mercedes-AMG GT, this limited edition will be available in both variants of the C63 AMG, the 476 hp and the 510 hp, and can be ordered in saloon body and in the Estate estate version (no official photographs of the latter are available). Sales will begin at the same time as the standard C63 AMG, in February 2015 for the saloon and in April for the Estate.
