The new Nissan GT-R Nismo is now available in Gran Turismo 6

Nissan and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have announced that the new Nissan GT-R NISMO is now available in Gran Turismo 6. The GT-R NISMO is the ultimate version of the GT-R R35, which was unveiled in 2007.
The president of Polyphony Digital Inc. and creator of Gran Turismo, Kazunori Yamauchi, was able to drive the car during the last Race Camp of GT Academy 2014 at Silverstone, and announced that it would be made available at the game’s dealerships. In addition, the car can also be downloaded for free by any participant in GT Academy 2014.
The 2014 version of the GT-R has already established itself as one of the best supercars in the world, and Nissan drew on decades of competition experience from NISMO, Nissan’s motorsport brand, to develop the latest Nissan GT-R.
The Nissan GT-R NISMO employs the innovation, engineering and technologies needed, drawing inspiration from racing to reach new levels of power, speed and driving performance.
The front bumper, engine cover and carbon fibre rear spoiler increase aerodynamic downforce, lowering the centre of gravity and generating 100 kg (at 300 km/h) more downforce compared with the 2014 version of the GT-R.

Its wider bumper configuration and rear design give the GT-R NISMO even more grip. The custom-developed suspension offers exceptional levels of grip and a progressive response when driving at the limit.
The GT-R NISMO features the VR38DETT engine, a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 600 CV, as well as turbochargers similar to those used in GT3 racing, which offer greater airflow.
Each cylinder has an individual ignition system, and the fuel pump has been upgraded to help achieve more efficient combustion. Furthermore, each engine is hand-assembled from start to finish by technicians.
Finally, the Nissan GT-R NISMO with the NISMO package set the best lap time for a production car, 7:08.679, at the Nordschleife circuit in Germany. The production model of the GT-R NISMO is on sale in Europe, and GT Academy fans can already enjoy it in the virtual world.
