The new range of the 2021 Citroën Berlingo starts at a very competitive price

The updated Citroën Berlingo enhances its interior space and practicality by upgrading its trim levels, whose pricing is organised according to their finishes

Citroen Berlingo 2021 (1)What can we say that we don’t already know about the 2021 Citroën Berlingo? In truth, we do know it: right from the start, it comes with new equipment that improves its finishes in favour of interior space and comfort, but also, in terms of its capacity as a versatile and modular vehicle.

And indeed, as a van, the new Citroën Berlingo is one of the few genuine examples of versatility: it can serve as a family vehicle with 5 to 7 seats available, as a complementary work tool for the professional who relies on it, as a multi-purpose vehicle, and through its conversion, once again, as a weekend escape route to any destination where, alone or accompanied, its driving capabilities allow, whether on tarmac or on dirt roads.

Far from being a people carrier, a van or, if we’re being generous, a crossover (and not a crossover in the strict sense), it is all of these things yet cannot be assigned exclusively to any one of these groups because, if there’s one thing it has shown over its more than 25 years on the market, it is that it is suited to everything.

That is why it is also true that, depending on the main use, its configuration is key.

Choosing the ideal Citroën Berlingo is very easy

The most important thing is to know which engine and which fuel suit the intended activity, which is why you can choose between the Citroën Berlingo diesel, with the BlueHDi 100 or 130, or petrol, with the PureTech 110.

With all that said, the first thing to do is to match the dimensions to your usual needs. Again, for the 2021 Citroën Berlingo, the bodywork is offered in two sizes: M or XL, measuring 4,403 or 4,753 mm in length respectively, with the option of 5 up to a maximum of 7 seats. Depending on the space occupied inside the cabin by its occupants, the minimum luggage volume of this vehicle is just over 65 litres, rising to a maximum of 775.

Once the main cabin layout has been decided, the choice remains between the trim levels, in which the new Citroën Berlingo offers up to four different equipment levels, named: Live Pack, Feel, Feel Pack and Shine.

The 2021 Citroën Berlingo Live Pack gives access to the range. That means you get the basics and essentials, but comfort and safety are not compromised, since its price starts at a genuinely competitive 18,200 euros for the Citroën Berlingo Size M BlueHDi 100 S&S configuration. It comes with manual air conditioning and the two side doors with windows that can be opened. In terms of driver assistance technology, the highlights are automatic emergency braking, collision warning, active lane departure warning, underinflation detection, speed limiter and cruise control, and a speed-limit sign recognition and speed recommendation system.

One step up is the new Citroën Berlingo Feel, which increases the technology level with LED daytime running lights and fog lamps, Citroën Connect Radio with touchscreen, automatic high-beam switching, extended traffic sign recognition, driver fatigue indicator, rear parking assistance…

For the more adventurous, the 2021 Citroën Berlingo Feel Pack offers a vehicle with a rugged yet family-friendly character, incorporating, among other features, 16-inch Starlit alloy wheels, longitudinal roof bars, tinted rear windows, a leather steering wheel, individual rear seats with armrests and ISOFIX mountings.

Finally, for those who want to make a statement with a brand-new Citroën Berlingo, the Shine pack is the top of the range, thanks to 17-inch wheels, dual-zone air conditioning, a colour head-up display, rear parking assistance with camera…
