Fabia Skoda Compact Geneva Motor Show
The new Skoda Fabia will be present at the Geneva Motor Show and promises a lot
Skoda has just announced a teaser of the future Fabia, which will be present in Geneva. It shows a much more up-to-date look and more advanced mechanics.

The novelties left by this edition of the Detroit Motor Show are still being talked about, but brands don’t want to waste time, and that is why they are already hinting at the vehicles we will be able to see in Geneva. Over the past year, we have witnessed the debut of the new Volkswagen Polo and SEAT Ibiza, and now it is the turn of their Czech cousin. Skoda has just announced that we will see the new Fabia at the next Geneva Motor Show.
The Czech compact will be presented as a completely new vehicle and will show certain similarities with the Polo and the Ibiza. For now, the company has only shared a teaser in which we can glimpse mainly the front of the new Fabia. It has been the last of the three compacts in the VAG group to be renewed but, without a doubt, this new model promises a lot, especially considering the good path Skoda has taken during 2017.
In this new Fabia we will find aesthetic and mechanical changes. As for the exterior, we notice a new front that is much smoother and cleaner, which alludes to the design canons Skoda has been using in its latest models. The presence of LED headlights also stands out, giving it a much more current and modern design. Even so, the novelties will also be in the interior of the new Fabia.

Although the brand has not made any statements on this matter, we expect it to feature a new infotainment system and the innovative Virtual Cockpit, which provides all the necessary information in the driver’s instrument cluster. At the same time, the Fabia will likely use the new platform employed in its two sister vehicles, the so-called MQB A0. This new base will make the Czech compact grow and will give it more composure and safety on the road.
Mechanically, we expect it to incorporate the seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox, which is used across different vehicles in the group. The new Skoda Fabia could offer petrol engines ranging from 95 to 115 CV, the latter being one of the best balanced. The diesel powertrains could offer outputs of 80 and 95 CV, thus covering the needs of its future customers. We also suspect it will include Park Assist, keyless entry, lane change and blind spot warning, and much more.

Without a doubt, the new Fabia will be one of the most balanced options on the market, thanks to its good build quality and price. In the meantime, we will have to wait for the Geneva Motor Show to learn more about the compact , and it will not be until after that show that its production begins.
